The scope of works was to develop a surface water drainage strategy that was inclusive of SUDs, which would be adoptable by both the LLFA and WA. The scheme comprised of 256 low rise residential dwellings, four attenuation basins, swales and permeable paving. Further to gaining Outline Planning Approval the scheme was progressed to detailed design involving a S38 highways agreements with Lincolnshire County Council and S104 drainage agreement with Anglian Water.
The engineering solutions developed on this project had pushed the boundaries of what was normal for the relevant authorities to take under their adoption. However, the proposals were successful, so much so that Lincolnshire County Council included aspects of the SUDs constructions details from the scheme into their design guide.
